Welcome to the website of the Kimblewick Hunt. The site has lots of information about us, about coming hunting with us, and about the events, social and equestrian, that we organise.
Entries are now open for this year’s ride at the Duke of Wellington’s estate on July 31st. See the Riding page for details and entries.
Mark Vincent and Daniel Bower will be running the length of the Hunt country over the forthcoming Bank Holiday (May 28-30th) to raise money for the Hunt, and for the North Devon Hospice, who helped with the care of Mark’s mum in her final 6 months.
Spectators are encouraged, and anyone is more than welcome to join in sections of the run, if you don’t quite fancy running the full 60 miles!
Please do click the button below to sponsor them.
A lovely venue, hog roast, a fantastic live band and home made puddings - that’s a recipe for the perfect midsummer evening. See the Events page to buy tickets online.
We’ve added a few other new events too including mouse racing and a hunting clinic.
The Hunt is in the process of updating its communications systems to ensure everyone receives the information they require. If you want to help us keep in touch, please download and fill in this form to ensure we have up to date contact details for you. Of course we’d be delighted if you decided to join the Supporters’ Club at the same time!

Hannah Walmsley of White Feather Photography in Suffolk visited us last week at Will Dalton’s Little Gaddesden meet and took some great photographs, particularly of our hounds. Click here to see the photos from Gaddesden, or visit Hannah’s home page at www.whitefeatherphotography.co.uk.
The first draft updated version of the catalogue of promises is now available to download from the Events page. There’s a wealth of great promises on offer already, with Lot 39 especially intriguing, and potentially worth its weight in Hunt subs to the right bidder. Advance bids are welcome for all lots, or join us for a great evening on November 14th.
The Supporters’ Club has announced a grand auction of promises in the middle of November, in the middle of our Hunt country. Please do come along, the Events page has details.
The ride was blessed with perfect weather. Official photographers Ultimate Images even had a camera mounted on a drone this year, so they may have dramatic aerial shots. There are also some photos from other jumps around the course for sale on the ride’s website here, with all profits from these photos going direct to the ride. Lost property, prize winners and so on will be on www.sosr.org.uk very shortly.
This year’s Hunt calendar is now available, with beautiful pictures from a variety of talented photographers, including Yvonne Parkinson, Willie Jackson and Greg Knight. Greg is also the winner of this year’s calendar photo competition with the beautiful August picture from Bishopstone, shown at the top of this page.
The calendar will be on sale at events starting with Thame show, then at full season meets, and of course online from the Shop page.
Regrettably the Ball has been cancelled. All tickets will be refunded.

The competition is now closed, and I think it’s safe to say this year’s entries are well up to last year’s high standard: the judging panel from the Supporters’ Club have some tough choices ahead of them! Many many thanks to everyone who entered. Results will be posted here when we have them.

We’re aiming to get the Hunt calendar out a little earlier this year to sell at the shows, so the deadline for the competition is tighter than usual - all photos need to be with us by June 26th!
The standard of submissions last year was wonderful, and we’ll be featuring some of the pictures which didn’t make it into the 2015 calendar at the top of this page over the next few weeks.
As always, we’re looking for great hunting or Hunt-related photographs to use in the 2016 Hunt Calendar, either candid ‘people’ shots or big beautiful pictures for the individual months. The Supporters’ Club is also donating a £50 prize for the judges’ favourite photograph, whether used in the Calendar or not. All photographs used will be credited to the photographers.
The rules are simple:
• All photos must be received by June 26th
• Photographs must be of or related to the Kimblewick Hunt and have been taken in the twelve months prior to the closing date
• Digital photos only, please do not post us prints
• Photographs can only be used in the Hunt Calendar if they are of sufficient technical as well as artistic quality (but don’t be put off by that - mobile phones take very good photos these days)
• By submitting a photograph you consent to its use free of charge on this website and in the Calendar, sales of which benefit the Hunt
• The judges’ decision regarding prizes and inclusion in the Calendar is final
Please email your photographs by June 26th to:

We would also like to thank Ashley Brodin for his many seasons as Chairman of the Supporters’ Club. Ashley’s leadership has helped streamline the Club and increase the profits raised at many of our events. The funds raised by the Supporters’ Club are crucial to the running of our Hunt, so we’re very grateful to Kate Mason and Lucy Holmes for taking over this vital role from Ashley.
If you are interested in commissioning an oil or charcoal portrait of your pet (or probably horse) by South African artist Lorena Ruffini of Acacia Blue art studio, please get in touch with Caroline on 0771 4279370.
Acacia Blue had a stand at the last point-to-point and we’re hoping they’ll be back at the Kingston Blount meeting in May.
Our final point-to-point of the year at the beautiful Kingston Blount course is coming up. Please do join us for a great day out.
