Vale of Aylesbury Sponsored Ride
RAF Halton, March 18th 2018

Vale of Aylesbury Sponsored Ride
Vale of Aylesbury Sponsored Ride

This Ride takes place every year at RAF Halton, near Wendover, courtesy of the RAF Station Commander. The course is only ridden once a year, so if you do want to jump over an aeroplane, this is your only chance.

The course is seven miles long, with only two road crossings (we have traffic lights to allow riders to cross safely). The ground varies between tarmac, woodland tracks and well-maintained turf, and there are approximately 50 cross country fences with a maximum height 2’6”. About 25 of the fences have bigger or more difficult bonus options (from a point-to-point fence to the aforementioned aeroplane) for the more advanced rider. All the fences are optional and there are no time penalties. The number of riders is strictly limited, and there are no entries on the day, so it’s advisable to enter early.

For full details, entry forms and online entry, visit the Ride’s website: www.haltonride.org.uk.
